Dubai – Spyker Cars has announced the establishment of its regional office in Dubai, called 'Spyker of the Middle East' and has appointed Al Tayer Motors LLC as their exclusive delaer for the UAE.Al Mutawa, Director Sales & Marketing Middle East said: “We are delighted to appoint Al Tayer Motors and its subsidiary as our dealer for the UAE. Al Tayer Motors with its extensive network and experience in the luxury automotive segment is the perfect partner for Spyker Cars.” Plans to open dealerships in Oman and Kuwait are in progress, he further added.Four Spyker models will be sold in the region - the Spyker C8 Spyder, the Spyker C8 Laviolette, the Spyker C12 LaTurbie and its newest model: the Spyker D12 Peking-to-Paris. Victor Muller, CEO Spyker Cars, says: “These are exciting times for Spyker. After the successful launch of the Spyker D12 Peking-to-Paris in Geneva last March we completed the acquisition of the Midland F1 Racing Formula One team in September, an absolute milestone for our 6 year old company. The team is now called Spyker F1 Team. The Formula One arena is an unparalleled way to both underline our commitment to racing and to benefit from a massive increase in brand awareness around the globe. We expect that our road cars will also benefit from the F1 technology we now have at our disposition in house. On September 30 last, we signed a three year engine supply agreement with Ferrari for the 2007-2009 seasons and on November 1st last Mike Gascoyne joined us as Spyker F1 Team’s Chief Technology Officer.”
